The meter was the product. I built what replaces it.
The machine that collapses the arbitrage between what legal work costs and what it now takes — built to verify its own work.
I met the legal system as its customer, and I read the bill the way a builder reads a system — looking for the part that no longer has to be there.
Here is the part. The AI drafts the motion in minutes; the invoice still bills the associate's afternoon. The work compressed — the price did not.
The billable hour was always a time-for-money trade; AI broke the trade and the profession kept the meter running anyway. Clients are now paying artisan prices for machine work, marked up by people making assumptions about how long a human would have taken.
I had lawyers telling me it would cost a million dollars.
That number wasn't a price — it was the old model quoting its own obsolescence.
So I stopped negotiating with the meter and built the machine that ends it.
I did not build this in theory. There is a live federal case, and I run it myself — pro se by architecture, not circumstance. The product does the work a firm would bill for, at the speed the firm's own AI already works, with a layer of verification a firm does not offer.

A citation existing is not the same as a citation supporting the point — and the difference is shown, never smoothed over.
